Crawfordsville woman killed in crash involving semi-truck on State Road 32 near Lebanon

LEBANON — A Crawfordsville woman was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck Thursday afternoon near Lebanon, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver of a car, Patricia Renick, 71, was killed after a crash around 1:20 p.m. in the 4600 block of West State Road 32, according to a press release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office. She was the only person inside the car at the time of the crash.

The driver of the semi-tractor trailer, a 31-year-old, of Greenville, South Carolina, did not appear to be injured but was taken to a medical facility for a checkout, according to the release. Their identity has not been released.

A St. Vincent Stat Flight medical helicopter was called to the scene, but Renick died at the scene before she was transported to the hospital, according to the release.
