BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- If you have any information on who damaged a historic Boone County bridge more than a year ago, you could be eligible for a reward.
The Sugar Creek Bridge was damaged on Nov. 10, 2016 when a CAT farm tractor struck it.
Two Boone County residents have offered a $2,500 reward to find the person responsible.
The bridge had recently been refurbished and restored to keep its historic look.
Under the Indiana Historical Bridge Inventory, it's listed as a historical bridge. Sgt. Chris Burcham of the Boone County Sheriff's Office said the bridge was a site for yearbook photos, wedding pictures and family memories.
"This bridge was not just a way for people to travel, it was a landmark to people who live in the area," Burcham said in a news release.
If you have any information on the bridge incident, contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office at 765-482-1412 or at tips@co.boone.in.us.
