LAWRENCE, Ind. -- Three suspects robbed church attendees at gunpoint at a Wednesday night service in Lawrence.

Police responded to an alarm at Centro Cristiano Church at 4240 N. Franklin Road around 7:30 p.m.

Officers met with the attendees, who said they had just been robbed by three men.

Church member David Ble said the three men got away with between $400-$600 from the eight church members who were inside at the time.

"We work hard for our money and our stuff that we have," said Ble, "I think it's not fair. they don't want to work. They don't want to do anything but take our stuff."

The three suspects were all armed with handguns. They are all described as being in their mid-20s, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 and wearing black hoodies.

The suspects told the victims to lay on the ground, then took personal items and cash.

The victims were also threatened.

After the robbery, the suspects ran northwest from the church.

Police haven't found video of the men, but are still investigating.
