Columbus police arrest 16 in drugs sweep

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Police in Columbus, Indiana and Bartholomew County arrested 16 people this week, all on drug-related charges.

The arrests were made by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department, the Columbus Police Department and the Indiana State Police.

Police say the arrests stemmed from investigations over the past few months.

All preliminary charges are for dealing methamphetamine or heroin. 

Police are still searching for one more person.

Joshua M. "Chirp" Parker, 24, turned himself in to the jail.
