Coroner identifies third victim of fatal mobile home fire in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE — The Morgan County Coroner says the third victim of a fatal mobile home fire in Martinsville has been identified as a 54-year-old man.

Ricky Burchett, 54, of Martinsville, was killed in an early morning mobile home fire on Wednesday, Morgan County Coroner Annette Butcher said in an email. The coroner's office had to use dental records to identify him.

David Fouts, 39, and Melissa White, 40, both of Martinsville, were also killed in the fire and identified by Butcher on Friday.

Martinsville Fire Department firefighters were called around 1:30 a.m to South Outer Drive on the report of a fire, authorities said. Crews later discovered three bodies inside.

The cause of the fire still remains under investigation.
