2 men arrested after west side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two men have been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred Friday on Indianapolis' west side.

The shooting happened at about 9 p.m. on Port Sylvia Drive, north of Rockville Road. 

Aggravated assault detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested Michael Townsend, 21, and Antonio Mathis, 21, for the shooting. The victim's condition is unknown.

Townsend and Mathis were preliminarily charged with attempted murder.
