SPEEDWAY — A 21-year-old woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning at an apartment complex, according to police.
The woman was shot around 3:30 a.m. in the 6000 block of Nalon Lane, in the Eagle Creek Court Apartments near West 21st Street and Cunningham Road, according to a press release from the Speedway Police Department. The woman later died.
Her identity has not been released.
A 23-year-old, of Indianapolis, was arrested and preliminarily charged with murder in connection with the incident, according to the release. Formal charges haven't been filed, according to online court records.
