CUMBERLAND — Three people were shot Wednesday evening in Cumberland at a Speedway gas station.
According to Cumberland Police Chief Suzanne Woodland, one of the individuals died at the hospital and two others were transported in critical condition.
The deceased victim was identified as Daeshua Reese, 29, according to the Marion County Coroner's Office.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Speedway gas station at the intersection of 10th Street and German Church Road in Cumberland, according to Cumberland police.
On Sept. 21, Devin Murrell, 28, was charged with two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon and a single count of criminal recklessness.
He's scheduled to appear for an initial hearing Oct. 24 at Marion Superior Court.
