INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were hospitalized after a burglary turned into a car crash on Indianapolis' east side.
The burglary happened around 4 a.m., at a house near the intersection of New York and LaSalle streets.
Instead of calling the police, the victim and his friends confronted the suspect.
The burglar drove off in a stolen van, but one of the victim's friends was able to grab onto the van as it drove away, police say.
The suspect crashed a few blocks away.
Both the burglar and the victim's friend remain in serious condition.
