INDIANAPOLIS — A person was shot and killed Sunday evening on the north side of Indianapolis, according to police.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to investigate the incident around 5:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Coil Street, near West 64th Street and Michigan Road.
Officers found a person with at least one apparent gunshot wound when they arrived, IMPD Sgt. Grace Sibley said in an email. They later died.
The incident remains under investigation and additional details have not been released.
