Death investigation underway after body found on Indianapolis' north side

INDIANAPOLIS — A death investigation is underway after a body was found early Tuesday morning on Indianapolis' north side. 

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 3300 block of Boulevard Place at about 4 a.m. to check the welfare of a person. 

When officers arrived, they found a man down. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified. 

The case is being investigated as a death investigation, police say.
