INDIANAPOLIS — A suspect wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting on Indy's north side was arrested by the FBI at Indianapolis International Airport on Monday as he stepped off a flight back into the city, a spokesperson for FBI Indianapolis said.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3700 block of Graceland Avenue just after 1:15 a.m. on March 6, after a person was shot.

Officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound and determined the shooting had actually occurred nearby, in the 220 block of W. 38th Street.

Detectives identified 37-year-old Keith White as a suspect. On March 9, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for White.

In the meantime, investigators tracked White to El Paso, Texas. He later flew to Denver, Colorado, where he boarded a connecting flight to Indianapolis. The FBI Indianapolis Violent Crimes Task Force — working alongside IMPD — took White into custody without incident as he deplaned Monday evening.

The FBI noted that White is a convicted felon and was on federal supervised release at the time of his arrest, stemming from a previous drug trafficking case.
