INDIANAPOLIS -- Four people, including a 13-year-old, were killed in shootings in a violent Indianapolis weekend.
An 18-year-old and a 13-year-old were killed Saturday evening.
"I am the mayor of Indianapolis," Mayor Joe Hogsett said at a peace rally Sunday morning. "These are my responsibilities. But I cannot do that alone. And I am so joyful that we gather as a community here in Irvington to stand up against the mindless menace of violence that plagues too many of our neighborhoods. It does take all of us."
About 12 hours after the peace rally, two more people were shot and killed. The combined ages of all four victims is 72.
