WARRICK COUNTY — Authorities are investigating after the human remains of a 32-year-old were found Friday afternoon in a rural area in Warrick County.
The remains were found around 2:45 p.m. CDT near Wasson Road and Pigeon Creek, Warrick County Sheriff Lt. Bryan Flowers said. The area is near a rural coal mine and dirt trails.
The victim was later identified as Valarie Anne Ruark, 32, of Boonville, Flowers said.
Authorities were preparing for an autopsy Sunday afternoon, Flowers said.
