INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police arrested one of the suspects wanted in the killing of a man Sunday at an east side hotel.

Richard Johnson, 22, was arrested Monday and faces a murder charge, according to a news release Tuesday from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Around 6 a.m. Sunday, IMPD officers were called to a hotel in the 6800 block of East 21st Street on the report of shots fired.

When they arrived, the officers were directed to a room on the second floor and found Timothy Bixler, 29, with at least one apparent gunshot wound. Medics transported Bixler to Eskenazi Hospital where he later died.

Police are still looking for a second suspect, according to IMPD.

Anyone with information should contact the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
