IMPD investigating after three people were shot early Saturday morning

INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives are investigating after three people were shot early Saturday morning in Indianapolis.

Around 5:30 a.m., a person with an apparent gunshot wound walked into Eskenazi Hospital, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer William Young said in an email. They are in serious condition.

Detectives believe they were shot North College Avenue and East 34th Street, Young said.

Around 2:30 a.m., IMPD officers were notified after two people with apparent gunshot wounds arrived at Community Hospital East, Young said. Their conditions and any information on a possible crime scene were not immediately released.
