INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a person was shot Sunday afternoon, possibly at a gas station, on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 12 p.m. to the 4100 block of Shore Drive on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in an email. When they arrived, they located a person, who was awake and talking, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers believe the person was possibly shot at Speedway, 6315 W. 56th St., Hewitt said.
Another person at the gas station suffered a graze wound, Hewitt said. They were taken to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.
At least one person is in custody in connection with the incident, Hewitt said. Their identity has not been released.
At this time, the identities of the victims have not been released.
