IMPD looking for man wanted in connection with death of 19-year-old woman

INDIANAPOLIS — Police in Indianapolis are looking for a man, who may be trying to leave the country, in connection with the death of a young woman on Monday.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are looking for Emerson Ariel Ortiz-Pacheco, 19, in connection with the death of Evelyn Lopez, 19, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in a press release. He also goes by Anderson Pacheco.

Early Monday morning, IMPD officers responded to the Sawmill Apartments on Lickridge Court after a receiving reports of a woman's body near a playground.

Police say a warrant for murder has been issued for Ortiz-Pacheco and he may be trying to leave the country.
