BOISE, Idaho -- An Indianapolis man was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
Mark Timperley, 21, was sentenced to seven years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release after traveling across the country to meet a 14-year-old.
According to the plea agreement, a school resource officer with the Nampa Police Department learned that a 14-year-old student was in an "internet relationship" with Timperley in Feb. 2017, and that the Indianapolis man intended to travel to Idaho to live with the 14-year-old.
Police looked at the teenager's cell phone, and found text messages between Timperley and the victim. In the texts, Timperley requested and received sexually explicit images of the victim, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Officers with the Nampa Police Department met Timperley as he got off a Greyhound bus in Boise, Idaho, where he admitted to requesting sexually explicit photos of the 14-year-old, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
