Man dies day after shooting on Indy's southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man has died the day after police found him suffering from gunshot wounds at a home on the city's southeast side.

The shooting in the 4700 block of Dayton Court marks the 230th homicide in Indianapolis this year.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the home on December 10 just before 4 p.m. where they located a person who had been shot. The male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and passed away the following day, December 11.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
