INDIANAPOLIS — A man was found shot and killed early Sunday morning near Fountain Square in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 2:30 a.m. to the intersection of English Avenue and Laurel Street, IMPD Officer Genae Cook said in a press release.
When they arrived, they found a man, who was the passenger in a car near Calvary Street and Fletcher Avenue, who was shot, Cook said. He later died.

Homicide detectives believe the shooting took place somewhere else, Cook said.
At this time, the identity of the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
