INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was shot late Thursday night on Indianapolis' east side.
The shooting happened just before midnight, near the intersection of Gray and Washington streets.
At first, the victim was in critical condition, but he has improved to serious.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a neighbor called for help after they found the 40-year-old victim.
Police say the victim is not cooperating with their investigation.
There is no word on a possible suspect.
