One dead, 10 possibly injured in shooting at South Bend pub

SOUTH BEND — At least one person is dead and as many as 10 people were injured in a shooting Sunday morning in South Bend.

South Bend Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called to Kelly’s Pub on East Mishawaka Avenue on the report of a shooting, according to a tweet from SBPD.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide unit is investigating the death of at least one person, according to the tweet. As many as 10 other people were injured.

Brandon Williams, 27, of Niles, Michigan, was killed in the shooting, according to a press release from the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Fort Wayne.

Five people remain in stable condition in area hospitals, according to the release. Five other people were treated and released from the hospital.

Police have not said what may have led to the shooting.
