One dead after shooting at Cumberland apartment complex

CUMBERLAND — A man is dead after a shooting Thursday evening at an apartment complex in Cumberland, according to police.

Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 8:15 p.m. to the 900 block of Elmtree Park Place and found a person who was dead when they arrived, CMPD Chief Suzanne Woodland said. The man had at least one apparent gunshot wound.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the man as Dae'Viol Pullum, 21.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide, Woodland said.

Detectives are working to identify them and determine what led to the shooting.
