INDIANAPOLIS — A man was fatally injured in a shooting Friday evening inside a gas station on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to police.

The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of East 38th Street, just east of Emerson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound and in critical condition, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Grace Sibley said in an email. He later died.

The victim was identified as 19-year-old Keon Dunlap.

Two weeks later, police arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the homicide.
