Man dead after shooting on Indy's near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — A person has died after being shot on the near northwest side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street around 10 p.m. on June 25 for a report of a person shot.

Arriving officers located a man suffering from a gunshot injury.

The victim wast transported to the hospital in critical condition. He died shortly after his arrival.

IMPD detectives have not released any additional details about the shooting. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
