SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- A car crashed into a Speedway, Indiana house Thursday morning after fleeing from police.

The incident happened around 8 a.m., when an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department noticed a person possibly sleeping in a car near the intersection of 30th Street and Moller Road.

The vehicle then took off, heading south on Moller. It clipped one house, then crashed directly into a second one near 25th Street and Moller. The car was so far into the house, it was difficult to see from the street. The hole in the house, however, was very apparent.

Two people were in the house, but were uninjured, police say.

The man driving the car was pulled from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in serious condition.
