MUNCIE — A man was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon on the southeast side of Muncie, according to police.
Muncie Police Department officers were called to investigate the incident around 1:40 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Biltmore Avenue, near East Memorial Drive and South Burlington Avenue.
Officers found a 24-year-old man who had been stabbed when they arrived, MPD Deputy Chief Melissa Pease said in an email. The man later died.
Detectives are speaking with a person of interest, Pease said. Their identity hasn't been released.
The incident remains under investigation and additional details have not been released.
