INDIANAPOLIS — The driver involved in a deadly crash in July on Interstate 465 is considered an "imminent hazard" by the U.S. Department of Transportation and has been ordered not to drive a commercial vehicle.
Bruce Andrew Pollard, 57, of Missouri, allegedly caused a serious crash in July on I-465 near Keystone Avenue. A mother and her two twin daughters were killed when their car caught on fire and seven people were injured.
Pollard was fired from a previous employer due to his history of careless driving, an investigation by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration found, according to a release from FMCSA.

When he applied for a new job in June 2019, Pollard allegedly did not disclose of his previous employment or reason for previous termination, according to the release. He also allegedly said he was not previously involved in a crash.
The imminent hazard order status states Pollard's “blatant and egregious violations of [federal safety regulations], local operating laws … and ongoing and repeated disregard for the safety of the motoring public … substantially increases the likelihood of serious injury or death to you and the motoring public.”
Pollard was charged by authorities in July on several counts including reckless homicide and criminal recklessness.
