INDIANAPOLIS -- At least one shot was fired after a pharmacy robbery Monday morning on Indianapolis' north side.
The incident started when a CVS Pharmacy was robbed by two suspects near the intersection of 86th Street and Ditch Road at around 4:30 a.m. Multiple prescriptions were taken from the CVS, sources with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department tell Call 6's Paris Lewbel.
The suspects fled the area and were spotted by police in a vehicle near the intersection of 71st and Meridian streets. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the robbery suspects, but they got out of the car and started running. At least one gunshot was then fired by the suspects, police say.
After the foot chase, multiple prescriptions were found along the route, including Vicodin and Adderall, as well as a loaded magazine for a gun.
SWAT and K-9s are searching for the suspects.
