INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was hospitalized Monday morning after a police chase involving a box truck with three tires.

The chase began on Indianapolis' far east side, near the intersection of 16th Street and Mitthoeffer Road. Police believe the suspect stole a box truck from that location.

The truck was missing one of its tires as the chase made its way to the west side. The driver got out and ran away near Walnut and Concord streets. He was caught and bitten by a K-9 after a short foot chase.

There is no word on the suspect's condition.
