INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were shot Thursday morning on Indianapolis' near-west side.
The shooting happened around 5:50 a.m., in the 600 block of N. Eugene Street.
A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said both victims had non-life-threatening injuries, but an officer on the scene said one victim was in critical condition.
One victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital. The other was taken to Methodist. The two victims, one man and one woman, were not identified.
A resident in the area told police somebody was banging on their door Thursday morning. When they answered, it was a woman who said she'd been shot.
