Vehicles hit with gunfire as man shot, killed on Indy's north side

INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was shot and killed early Monday morning on Indianapolis' north side.

Just before 12:30 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 8200 block of Lenox Lane on a report of a person shot. 

Police found one man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Responding officers also found vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.

Investigators believe all parties involved in the shooting know each other, they say it is a targeted attacked and the community is not in danger.
