INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is dead after a shooting Friday night on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to police.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of North Drexel Avenue, near East 32nd Street and Emerson Avenue, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Michael Hewitt said in a press release.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where she died around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Hewitt said. Her identity has not been released.
