CARMEL, Ind. -- Grab your reading glasses -- a new Books & Brews will open Friday in Carmel, Indiana.
Books & Brews is a brewpub and used bookstore with four other locations in Indianapolis, Zionsville, Brownsburg and Muncie. Visitors are encouraged to eat, read, listen to music or play a game.
The Carmel location at 61 W. City Center Drive will have a full menu, including beer cheese dip, sandwiches, flatbreads and grilled cheese.
The cafe will be run by Alex and Lori Stanley.
“This journey has been indescribable, and we are thrilled to bring this unique and amazing concept to the City of Carmel," Alex said. "We strive to be a place for people without a place and we can’t wait to see how this community will embrace and shape our store."
The Carmel location will have 12 tap lines. The following five core Books & Brews beers are always on tap:
- Nancy, a citra-hopped pale ale
- Clifford, an Irish-style red ale
- Cream & Punishment, a cream ale
- Charlie, a chocolate milk stout
- Shogun Soba Ale, an amber ale with buckwheat
The other seven taps will be rotating. There will also be wines from Mallow Run Winery in nearby Bargersville, Indiana.
