PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Students at Susanna School in Plainfield want you to know that Thursday, September 21 isn't just like any other day. It's the International Day of Peace.
To mark the occasion, students tied white ribbons to the school fence.
Makenna Quinn, a fourth grade student, says peace means happiness and calmness.
Father Glenn O'Connor reflects on peace: "We talk a lot about peace and being instruments of peace in our own neighborhoods and here, but I like the fact that it's an International thing. People from all over the world somehow stop and just pray for peace."
Students from St. Susanna hope people from all over Hendricks County stop by to tie a ribbon of piece to their fence.
