INDIANAPOLIS -- Look out for the blue shell.

As if Indianapolis didn't have enough cool stuff going on, there will be a human Mario Kart race Friday evening in Fountain Square.

Yes, a human Mario Kart race.

Sponsored by Do317.com and Goose Island Brewery, teams of racers will ride around drift bikes around a track at the Murphy Arts Center parking lot.

As if that didn't sound fun already, the racers will have to avoid obstacles and collect coins as they navigate the track. People watching the race will be able to hit the racers with "turtle shells," AKA water balloons. Some will also spray them with water guns.

Local DJs and emcees will also be at the races. All ages are welcome, but anybody over 21 can go to the beer garden and viewing area.

You can also get Mario-inspired food and play Mario Kart 64 on a big screen at the event.

RSVP on Do317.com for free admission.
