Person struck, killed in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. -- One person was struck and killed Monday morning in Kokomo, Indiana.

Officers with the Kokomo Police Department were called to the intersection of State Road 26 and US 931 at about 5:30 a.m. 

They found a commercial utility vehicle -- about the size of a trash truck -- in the road. The driver was a 53-year-old man from Denver, Indiana. 

Police believe the vehicle struck and killed Gary Clover, 63, of Kokomo. Clover was pronounced dead at the scene.

This case is in the very preliminary stages of investigation by the Kokomo Police Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Howard County Coroner’s Office. Anyone with additional information in regards to the incident is asked to call Sgt. Neil Marcus at 765-456-7333.
