SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. -- Human remains discovered Sunday in the northwest part of Shelby County have been recovered.
The remains were found just outside of Fairland on County Road 325 W.
Poor weather conditions hampered efforts on Sunday night, but IMPD homicide detectives, the Marion County Coroner and the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency were able to recover the remains on Monday.
They have not been identified but the Shelby County Sheriff's Department says, "There are strong indications the remains are part of an ongoing homicide investigation."
No further information was released.
