INDIANAPOLIS -- An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was injured in a crash Wednesday morning on Indianapolis' east side.
The crash happened around 4 a.m., near the intersection of Washington and Rural streets.
It was a one-vehicle crash involving an IMPD vehicle. Police on the scene said the injured officer had non-life-threatening hip and back injuries.
They were taken to Methodist Hospital by ambulance.
Police weren't sure if the wet streets contributed to the crash.
