INDIANAPOLIS -- Anybody wanting to see the Indiana State Fair balloon race Friday morning had their hopes deflated by the weather.
For the second straight year, the annual race was canceled due to weather.
It was just a little too cloudy and windy for the balloons to take off.
In 2016, the conditions weren't right for the balloon race, and it was canceled, making 2015 the last year the race took place.
One pilot, who came from Dayton, Ohio for the event, said he's disappointed the race was canceled because of all the work and money put into it.
"There's so much work in an event like this," he said.

The night's balloon glow is still on, as of Friday morning. The balloons will rise into the air at dusk, then all light up at the same time. It begins at 9 p.m.
