INDIANAPOLIS -- After devastating wildfires in Tennessee, the Humane Society of Indianapolis is doing its part to help people take care of missing pets there.

The Humane Society is sending 10 pallets of supplies Tuesday to the Sevier County Humane Society in Sevierville, Tenn.

Sevierville is about 30 minutes away from Gatlinburg.

The Sevier County Humane Society has opened a temporary shelter at the nearby fairgrounds to accept stray animals, and offer shelter for pets whose owners have been displaced due to the fires.

The public in Tennessee has been told to go there if they can't find their pets.

As of Monday, 14 people have been killed in the Gatlinburg wildfires.
