INDIANAPOLIS – Four Indianapolis organizations received $75,000 grants from the city, for their work to curb violence.
The four organizations that received grants Monday were:
- RecycleForce
- VOICES
- Community Action of Greater Indianapolis
- Edna Martin Christian Center
The organizations focus on evidence-based violence prevention work and wraparound services in Indianapolis neighborhoods.
There were nine applications for violence prevention grants, the city said. The four winners were chosen by a panel of researchers from IUPUI.
“Each group shares one common goal – a safe, convenient and realistic route for neighborhoods in Indianapolis,” Hogsett said.
