INDIANAPOLIS -- Anthem Inc. will remain headquartered in Indianapolis after the company announced about $20 million in renovations in its corporate office.
The renovations are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018. Once the renovations are complete, Anthem will house more than 2,600 employees.
“Indianapolis has been Anthem’s home since our company was founded nearly 75 years ago,” said Gail K. Boudreaux, President and Chief Executive Officer, Anthem. “Our employees live and work here and we are part of the community. We appreciate the support from the City of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana as we worked through the process to finalize our plans."
In February, Anthem announced $1,000 contributions to employees who had not previously taken part in the 401 (k) program. Anthem said it was due to the change in tax codes.
