Arrest made in shooting death of 27-year-old

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested a 21-year-old man on the suspicion of shooting and killing one person and injuring another. 

IMPD officers were notified of two people who were taken to a local hospital after being shot around 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 4900 block of Dawn Drive. 

Jesse Harris, 21, later died and Dejon Wooden, 20, is listed in good condition, according to IMPD.

The 21-year-old man arrested in connection to the incident was also taken to a local hospital after being shot.

The suspect was preliminarily charged on the suspicion of murder and two counts of robbery.
