INDIANAPOLIS — Beyond Monumental announced a new registration option for the 2020 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon to allow for people to run the race throughout November.

Runners will be able to break up the race into any number of days and distances within the month of November, according to a press release. A live leader board will allow runners to compare their results to other runners.

“We hear so many people say that they’ll ‘never run a marathon’,” Jed Cornforth, executive director of Beyond Monumental, said in the release. “Whether it be because of lack of time to train, or being intimidated by the distance, we want to remove those barriers and help people achieve something they never thought possible. By allowing participants to break a marathon into shorter segments, we’re helping people see what they’re truly capable of.”

A performance fleece quarter-zip and free-standing commemorative medal will be mailed to participants of the new event, according to the release.

The new event will coincide with the virtual 2020 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, half-marathon, and 5k races, according to the release. Proceeds from the Beyond Monumental events will provide health and wellness programming access and opportunities, including the Monumental Kids Movement.

You can register for the new event online.
