INDIANAPOLIS -- An unclaimed Indianapolis baby received funeral services Monday, thanks to a local organization.
Baby Jesse David was born at a local hospital in June. He was unnamed and only lived for two hours.
So the group "He Knows Your Name" organized a funeral and burial for the baby at Washington Park East Cemetery.
He Knows Your Name is a group that believes every life is sacred and naming children matters deeply.
"People don't understand that this is a need and that this is happening right here in our county," said Linda Znachko, the founder of He Knows Your Name. "I'm thankful that I can do it. I'm thankful that I know that there's this need and to claim babies and give them a proper burial. But also naming them."
