INDIANAPOLIS — If you are heading out to watch the Super Bowl tonight and find yourself needing a ride home, there are ways for you to get home without having to drive.
Authorities in Central Indiana are reminding people to have a plan before they leave and use a designated driver or public transportation.
If you need a ride home, here are a few options:
- Use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's SaferRide mobile app to call for a taxi or predetermined friend.
- Use a ride-sharing like Uber or Lyft for a ride home.
- If possible and available in your area, use public transportation.
- Call a sober friend or family member.
Authorities are asking for people to report possible drunk or intoxicated drivers to emergency dispatchers.
