INDIANAPOLIS -- A trendy holiday tradition has made it’s way on Santa’s sleigh to Indianapolis. “Miracle on South,” a pop-up Christmas-inspired cocktail bar will be ready to serve up seasonally-themed cocktails in a festive setting starting the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.
Plat 99 at The Alexander is managing the pop-up, which comes from a concept started out of New York City four years ago.
Indianapolis raised, Leal Ransone, Plat 99 manager, says he is excited to be part of this new holiday tradition, that now has over 80 partners world-wide.
“The thing with Miracle, is every Miracle pop-up is different, each space is different,” explains Ransone. “We decided to do a tent party, outside, every day of the week from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve.”
The outdoor tent will be located off of South Street in The Alexander’s green space, where Ransone says it will be “nice and toasty” inside during the December chill.
“My mission is to bring as much holiday cheer as possible if I am being honest,” says Ransone. “I have never heard of anything like this in our market, and to partner with this is just great. We are decorating the heck inside of the tent, going to put up a few vignettes, and Christmas will be all over the walls.”

“It will be an adult Christmas party, it will be a place to come and gather,” Ransone describes what he hopes the pop-up will be for visitors of the cocktail bar. “This is for friends, coworkers, family. This is for people to get together over the holidays to gather in a fun environment with friends.”
The downtown Indianapolis pop-up will be open Mondays-Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Fridays from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., Saturdays from Noon until 11:00 p.m. and Sundays from Noon until 8:00 p.m.
The pop-up bar will open early for Colts home games, on November 25th and December 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
