INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Police Metropolitan Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with a robbery case from December.
IMPD officers say they were called just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 19 to the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue on the report of a robbery.
They later found a man, with several cuts on his hands and a bump on his forehead, who told police he was robbed and carjacked by a black man, described as being 6 feet tall, possibly in his 20s, according to IMPD. The man was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans and no shoes.
The man told police he later saw the suspect drive his car north onto Indiana Avenue from 14th Street, according to IMPD.
Police say the suspect then used the man’s credit card at a liquor store in the 3000 block of West 16th Street around 10:45 p.m., according to IMPD.
The car was later recovered in the morning of Dec. 20.
